Split Airport is located approximately 12 miles/19 km from the city center of Split, on the west side of Kaštela Bay.

Between Split Airport and the surrounding areas, all passengers will find several bus transportation options that can bring them to and from their further location. The buses that operate from the airport are the regular-route buses, including no. 37 and no. 38. There is also a shuttle bus available, which is a direct bus line between Split Airport and Split city center.  It is the most cost-effective way to get into Split.

Bus no. 37

Bus no. 37 runs regularly between the airport and the city center, and the journey takes approximately 50 minutes. The public bus no. 37 leaves from Split Airport from Monday to Sundays between 04:00 am and 11:45 pm. The bus will take you to the Sukoisan bus station on the outskirts of the city center. From here you can continue your journey to the ferry port or the train station either by taxi or by public transport.

The buses pick up and drop off in Split is at the local bus station Sukoišan. A one-way bus ticket costs 17 HRK and you can buy your ticket onboard on the bus. Remember to bring cash in local currency.

Bus no. 38 runs from Split Airport to Kastel Stari and further to Split.

Shuttle bus between Split Airport and the city center of Split

Split Airport’s bus shuttle is operated by Pleso Prijevoz. This is an affordable and rather convenient transport option to get between the airport and the city center of Split. The bus operates every day during the airport’s operating hours, 06:00 am to 10:00 pm. The travel time is approximately 30 minutes, and the bus leaves the airport about 30 minutes after every flight arrival. However, please note that the bus usually does not leave until it is full, which can be frustrating if you are in a hurry. 

The shuttle bus is located right at the exit of the airport terminal.

A single bus ticket costs 30 HRK. Tickets for the shuttle bus can be bought from the bus driver. Remember to bring cash in local currency.
